Leif Vollebekk is from Montreal and his music is an acoustic guitar country meets Arcade Fire that reminds me of a never-ending road trip through rural Quebec. That doesn’t mean anything does it? In any case, his CD release party is going down at the Blacksheep Inn in Wakefield, just outside of Ottawa, on Thursday November 27. The Blacksheep is an awesome venue and he’ll be playing with OK Giraffe and Charlotte Cornfield.

I’m not even sure what that is but I’m sure it sounds awesome. His live performances feature heavy beats and bass that sound great in a packed night club. Check him out at SAT (Society for Arts and Technology) in Montreal on Saturday November 22nd. Tickets are $10 presale, $15 at the door. His album is also available here.

His 4th album, Feed the Animals, is out right now and if you pay over $10, then you are pre-ordering a physical copy of the CD, which will be out later. I’m looking forward to when he touches down in Toronto on November 12th and then follows up in Montreal the next day.
